Following Dell's decision to offer Ubuntu installed on its laptops, Toshiba is also considering to offer notebooks with linux as Operating System. In a press release, toshiba said that to increase sales, they'll be offering notebooks with pre-installed Linux.
Luigi Cattaneo, the country manager of Toshiba for Italy said that to capture the Small and Medium sized business market they have to retail laptops within 500 Euro range and it'll be possible by installing Linux on the machines. We hope that more companies should consider installing Linux on their machines.
