Microsoft researching on dual user PC

Researchers at Microsoft Research in Bangalore, India have developed software that enables Two Users to work simultaneously on the same machine and using same display device with two sets of keyboard and mice. The screen is split into two and a new cursor comes in for second user.

The both user sessions share processor and memory resources but the sessions are totally independent of each other. This can be of great help for professionals working on a project and for people who cannot afford to buy PC.
